Bruce has worked as a fulltime potter in Utah since 1983. He
knew at an early age that he would make a living with his
hands. In 1979 he took his first pottery class and was
hooked. His work can be seen at many Art Festivals
throughout the country and at many galleries in the mountain
west.
His porcelain and stoneware creations are fired in a gas
kiln to cone 10 [2400 degrees Fahrenheit]. All his work is
lead free, microwave & dishwasher safe. You may bake in your
pottery also, however it is sensitive to abrupt temperature
changes. Food bakes best in pottery when it is placed in a
cold oven and heated gradually. Pottery will crack or
shatter if it is placed directly on stovetop heating
elements.
Bruce lives in Park City with his wife and where he raised
his two daughters. He is active in the art community,
participating on many of the community art organization
boards. He currently sits on the board at the Kimball Art
Center, is an owner of Artworks Gallery, and runs his
pottery production studio.
When he allows himself any free time you might find him
working on one of his classic Ford Mustangs.
